  1. CNN has a great article on the creative struggle of Brian Wilson.  I highly recommend reading the article and viewing the video.  Click here. Here’s my favorite quote from the article: “You can try to put Brian Wilson in a box. But he won’t stay there. Creativity is too complex for that. It’s all of a piece with him, angelic voices chasing innocence while going through hell.” If you want to learn more about Brian Wilson and what he’s been through, you should really read the book, Catch a Wave: The Rise, Fall, and Redemption of the Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson.  He is a very fascinating man and simply a musical genius.
